By Sean Burch
Actress Rose McGowan came out guns blazing against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein — along with Ben Affleck — this week on Twitter, but the “Scream” star was up in arms after her account was “temporarily limited” on Wednesday.
McGowan shared the suspension notification from Twitter on her Instagram page, saying “TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE.”
But according to Twitter, it had nothing to do with the actress using the platform to call out Weinstein for sexual harassment or telling Affleck to “f— off.” Instead, the deactivation stemmed from McGowan sharing a private phone number.
Men are being applauded for denouncing sexual assault now while women are being demonized for not reporting it sooner.
